Diaphragm Compressor System Components

A diaphragm compressor consists of an air source system, a compressed air system, and a control system.

1. Air Source System
The air source system ensures the proper operation of a diaphragm compressor and typically consists of a cylinder, air pipe, filter, lubricator, and pressure regulating valve. The cylinder provides compressed air, while the air pipe transmits the pressurized air generated by the cylinder to the diaphragm compressor's air chamber. The filter and lubricator filter and lubricate the air leaving the cylinder to prevent damage to the compressor caused by impurities and dryness. The pressure regulating valve adjusts the air source pressure according to actual needs to control the operation of the diaphragm compressor.

2. Compressed Air System
The compressed air system is the core component of a diaphragm compressor and includes the diaphragm, compression chamber, outlet, and inlet. When air from the air source enters the compression chamber through the inlet, the diaphragms within the compression chamber begin to operate, dividing the air into high-pressure and low-pressure regions. As the pressure in front of the diaphragm increases, the air behind the diaphragm is compressed and discharged to the outlet. When the pressure behind the diaphragm decreases, the air re-enters the compression chamber through the air inlet for the next compression cycle. Through this reciprocating cycle, the diaphragm compressor continuously compresses the air, providing compressed air at varying pressure levels.

3. Control System
The control system is the regulatory center of the diaphragm compressor. It typically consists of a pressure switch, an automatic controller, and a power supply. The pressure switch detects the outlet pressure of the diaphragm compressor. When the pressure exceeds the set value, the automatic controller shuts down the air supply system, thereby protecting the diaphragm compressor. The automatic controller also monitors the operating status of the air supply and compressed air system, enabling timely response to any faults and preventing equipment damage. The power supply provides power to the diaphragm compressor.

In short, a diaphragm compressor consists of three components: the air supply system, the compressed air system, and the control system. Each component has different tasks, and their coordinated operation ensures the safe and stable operation of the diaphragm compressor, providing efficient compressed air services for the production and manufacturing industries.
